Specialist Interests:

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a debilitating functional gut disorder where symptoms including wind, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea and pain can occur. As the condition is functional, tests will show no abnormalities and there are currently no known medical treatments to cure the condition. Diet and lifestyle changes are highly recommended and effective for most people.

Shehnaz has extensive experience providing first and second line dietetic treatments for IBS, including the low FODMAP diet. This diet should always be undertaken with the support of a Registered Dietitian.

For people with IBS we offer 3 appointments for £195, saving £20.

Living with a Stoma (Ileostomy/Colostomy)

Shehnaz is passionate about helping people with Stomas to eat well. Following surgery for an Ileostomy or Colostomy, many people can restrict their diet to manage Stoma output or prevent symptoms like blockages. Shehnaz helps people to have the knowledge and confidence to eat well post surgery whilst taking into account the symptoms they are tying to manage.

For people with an Ileostomy or Colostomy, we offer 3 appointments for £195, saving £20.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease

This includes Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis, conditions causing inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. We work with clients to achieve optimum nutrition, taking into account the parts of the gut which are affected by disease. By doing this, we can reduce the risk of nutritional deficiencies, fatigue amongst other symptoms.

Healthy Eating for Cultural Diets

Coming from a South Asian background, Shehnaz has a passion for education on healthy eating whilst taking into account different cultural diets. Clients can expect tailored advice and resources taking into account their cultural diets, allowing them to achieve sustainable changes.
